Kala Bhatt/ Black Soyabean is a Homegrown pulse crop, widely cultivated in rainfed areas of Uttarakhand Himalayas and is a rich source of protein and Iron. One of the widely cultivated pulse crops of Uttarakhand, commonly consumed in the form of dal, and stuffed chapattis and is also used as an ingredient in the very famous pahadi dish called Chainsoo.
